How To Lose Fat Effectively?

The first thing you should know is that fat loss is not a race. If you’re looking to lose fat, and want to do so in a way that doesn’t get you depressed or unhealthy, then your best bet (barring a few exceptions) is to lose a few pounds every week. Though the good news is that you’re incredibly likely to lose 10 pounds during the first week, simply by changing your diet and eliminating unhealthy foods!
As for the strongest product to burn fat, I unfortunately have bad news to deliver again. No product will “make” your body burn fat. If we did have such a product, it would probably be the only product available for fat loss, and you would already know about it. Rather, you can create the right conditions for your body to lose fat, and in terms of supplements, combining products that increase your metabolic rate (burn more calories) and push the use of fats for your body to make up the missing energy.
For this combination, look for products that contain things like: caffeine, capsaicin, fucoxanthin and EGCG in order to boost your metabolic rate. But be warned, many things that increase metabolic rate, like caffeine and EGCG, can also stimulate your central nervous system – great for waking up in the morning, but awful when trying to fall asleep at night, so make sure you only take them in the morning or afternoon.
You can then combine it with products that contain: L-Carnitine, CLA, choline, and wild mango. These focus on encouraging your body to use fat. Technically, you can rely on your diet and exercise to create a gap in energy supply vs. demand, and then use these products to help fill that gap with your stored bodyfat. These products are also not stimulants, so they can be incorporated into products that are taken at any time of day, even before bed.

In the broadest sense, any lone protein of decent quality should do the trick. Naturally, proteins mixed with other caloric ingredients, usually carbs, are less favourable. This means that you have three main options: mixed whey products, which are generally great budget-oriented options – certainly not the best on this list, but unless you have specific intolerances (like gluten or lactose) to be wary of, they won’t steer you wrong.
Sustained release and long-acting proteins, like casein and milk proteins, are also great options, as they can help keep you full for longer, making them excellent options as snacks and meal replacements that feel satisfying. And finally, you have the Whey Isolates: these are some of the best of the best, they contain next to no additional carbs or fat, are purely protein, and can come in gluten/lactose free formulas that can be easily absorbed by almost anyone with a digestive sensitivity.

That’s definitely a great start – eating well and exercising are THE two best ways to get your body in better shape. However, eating well overall might not still meet the required conditions for losing fat. One of the main culprits of not losing weight is eating too many calories – maybe you have some extra snacks that tip the balance towards too many calories. This isn’t to say under eat, but find out what you need and cut out the excess.
Things like sleep and stress are also important to take care of. Eating right and exercising aren’t as potent as we think if we’re excessively stressed or lacking sleep. In fact, research indicates losses in fat mass are cut in half when we get 5.5 hours of sleep instead of 8, as part of the exact same weight loss plan! So, if you’re highly stressed or not sleeping well, those can be serious things to address to help you lose weight!
There are many habits you can pick up in order to help, like regular schedules, breathing exercises, and meditation. But, in terms of supplements, getting your essentials, like magnesium and zinc, already help a lot with sleep and stress. Adaptogens like ashwagandha, and the products that contain it, can also be of great help for stress, while sleep products with melatonin, rhodiola and/or skullcap can also be of great help.

The two best products for this purpose are fiber and 5-HTP. Your stomach works a lot on mechano-tension, in other words, the mechanical strain of having things in it is one of the ways we signal that we are full – you’ve experienced this at any buffet! 5-HTP on the other hand, is able to increase the satiety you feel from your meal. Take it with your usual diet meal to feel way better for a longer period of time. Cravings are a complex topic with many possible causes, so we’ll try and address as many as we can here. The first is, of course, being genuinely hungry – one of the easiest and energy-reliable energy sources are carbs. So, if you’re hungry, you might just be hungry. For that, try and fill your stomach with low-calorie options. Fiber is one, but also picking filling foods that contain no calories, like vegetables, can be a good option.
Sometimes cravings can be caused by stress. Of course, the best option for that is to find your source of stress and alleviate it through lifestyle choices, but that isn’t always obvious. So, to help there, try adaptogens to cut down your stress to more manageable proportions – ashwagandha, rhodiola rosea and panax ginseng are great options here!
Finally, blood sugar swings are the ultimate cause of cravings – you could even say the previous two causes are simple reasons why blood sugar fluctuates. The difference is that in those cases, we can identify the cause, and treat is specifically. In this case, the cause is not obvious, so we look at general supplements that might help.
For example, magnesium has been shown to be able to stabilize blood sugar, while a lack of magnesium is known to disrupt it. So, a magnesium supplement might be able to help out. Other stabilizing supplements, like R-ALA, fish oil, and adequate B vitamin supply can all help.

This one is tricky. It really depends on the types of medication you are taking, and the supplements you are looking to consume.
There are too many potential interactions to list here, but there are two rules of thumb:
- If you are taking prescription medications, keep your supplementation protocol as simple as possible. Fish oils, vitamin D (unless contraindicated), protein, VegeGreens and multivitamins will already offer you a lot of what you need, with having very little possible interaction with medication.
- If you are taking prescription medications and wish to take a fat burner, talk to your doctor, pharmacist, or other licenced healthcare practitioner to determine if the supplement is right for you and your situation.

When breastfeeding, a lot of what you take can be transferred through breastmilk. While this does not apply to all ingredients, there are still enough exceptions that it makes the consumption of fat burners as a category, unadvisable for women who are breastfeeding. In this case, it is best to look towards fat burners AFTER you have stopped breastfeeding your child.
This is to minimize the risk of any secondary effects that might occur. As such, for the time you are breastfeeding, keep your supplementation to the basic essentials – protein, fish oils and multivitamins approved for use by pregnant and breastfeeding women, like Progressive Pre-natal Multivitamin. Once you have stopped breastfeeding, then you may resume your normal supplementation as you did before!

Just as in most things, there is no “best” fat burner. This is because what works for you won’t do the same thing for the person next to you. If you already deal with a lot of stress and insomnia, a fat burner packed with caffeine and stimulants will amplify your stress, and cut your sleep further – given that stress and lack of sleep are the two biggest hurdles to fat loss, sounds like a losing proposition.
Instead, take the time to identify your problem areas. Do you sleep 7-8 hours per night? Do you deal with a lot of stress? Do you often binge eat? Each of these can be impediments to your fat loss journey. So, the best course of action, of course, is to address them. Then, you bring in fat burners of your choice to accelerate the fruits of your labour.
When you want to grow a plant, do you put fertilizer on some soil and hope for the best? No, you work the ground, remove the rocks, plant the seeds, THEN accelerate the growing process with a good fertilizer. Your fat loss plan is no different – work the ground by getting your body healthy with the nutrients it needs, like vitamins and essential fats. Remove the rocks by ironing out your issues with stress, sleep, or other conditions, plant the seeds by setting up a diet and exercise plan that works for YOU. Then, finally, add your fertilizer in the form of a fat burner, if you so choose.
